We use the Fraxel® Laser, VBeam, and Gentle Yag Laser

Fraxel®

Think of pixels in a photo when you think of Fraxel® Laser Treatment (FLT). If you look at a newsprint photo up close, you'll see that the image is actually comprised of thousands of tiny spots of ink. Similarly, FLT produces thousands of tiny treatment zones on skin, known as MicroThermal Zones (MTZs), in the emerging science of Fractional Photothermolysis.

These MTZs penetrate deep into the dermis and eliminate old epidermal pigmented cells. Just as important, though, are the areas of skin the Fraxel laser leaves untouched. The Fraxel laser is so precise that it penetrates through the stratum corneum, as if it was a window, and leaves it completely intact. For every MicroThermal Zone the laser targets and treats intensively, it leaves the surrounding tissue unaffected and intact. This "fractional" treatment allows the skin to heal much faster than if the entire area were treated at once, using the body's natural healing process to create new, healthy tissue to replace skin imperfections

VBEAM LASER
Perfecta is the latest generation of Vbeam laser offering Combination Therapy of pigmentation, diffuse redness and veins.

  • More powerful More effective Less bruising
  • Shorter treatment series

Lasers have been used for removal of pigmentation and superficial veins for years. One of the less-desirable side-effects has been bruising. Resistant pigmentation and concentrated vein or vascular conditions require more "power" and this in turn has typically resulted in some type of superficial bruise.
The Perfecta Laser by Candela uses a new technology called Micropulse to allow more power delivery with minimized bruising and in many cases no bruising at all.

Perfecta Laser Micropulse technology

What is Micropulse and how is it different?
Micropulse technology spreads out a single laser pulse into 8 evenly spaced micropulses.
As a result, more energy can be directed to the targeted vein or pigmented spot. Since the laser energy is applied over longer periods of time there is a gentler heating effect and uniform coagulation. By heating targeted vessels more gently, the new Perfecta Vbeam eliminates or minimizes post-treatment purpura (bruising).
Standard laser pulses have more impact when used aggressively for resistant pigmentation and more pronounced vein conditions and thus often cause more bruising.

The GentleYAG laser can now be used for "skin tightening" treatments adding to the laser's current applications for hair, leg and facial vein removal. The GentleYAG "tightens" by heating the underlying layers in the skin and forming new collagen resulting in smoother, younger looking skin. The GentleYAG's patented epidermal cooling system, the Dynamic Cooling Device (DCD) protects the skin with every laser pulse allowing for quick results and patient comfort.
